Bearing Inserts

Commonly used in many mechanical applications, as well as construction, Bearings are categorised and classified according to the purpose that they serve – either to reduce friction, carry more load or, like magnetic Bearings, to perform a special task. Another type of Bearing available at Bearing Shop UK are Bearing Inserts.

Unlike typical Ball Bearings, Bearing Inserts have extended inner rings. This provides better shaft support as they can be mounted on shafts without the use of shoulders, Lock Nuts or Bearing Adapter Sleeves. Affording a huge advantage, the wider rings allow better load distribution and they can be fitted onto the shaft without using special tools or equipment.

Bearing Inserts are usually locked in place using Set Screws or Shaft Collars. They are a good replacement for radial Bearings meant for heavy duty applications, with Bearing Inserts being used in a wide range of applications due to their versatility and affordability.
