Loctite 660 is a retaining compound generally used to repair worn metallic or coaxial parts without the necessity of machining, allowing machinery to keep running until new parts arrive. The non-running gel is applied onto cylindrical parts to fill imperfections on surfaces and repair worn areas of machinery.
Containing no metal, the gel hardens to a strength that often doubles that of a press fit once assembled, any remaining compound outside of the joint does not dry, allowing for an easy clean up. Loctite 660 Quick Metal enables the re-use of out-of-true bearing seats, keys, splines, tapers, or for retaining of shims.
