Spherical Plain Bearings
Spherical Plain Bearings are simple Bearings with an inner and outer ring. Even with their apparent simplicity, these Bearings are designed to be adaptable in almost any situation. The different materials and manufacturing techniques also serve to expand this bearing’s usefulness.
One of the most useful functions of a Spherical Plain Bearing is its ability to tolerate misalignments and oscillating movements, which are the primary weaknesses of rolling Ball Bearings. Spherical Plain Bearings also have a higher capacity for axial and radial loads which further increases their value, especially for heavy duty tasks such as those involved in mining and construction.
